FIND THE RIGHT FIT

Not every business site needs the same connection.

Some businesses need a simple, reliable fibre line. Others need dedicated performance, wireless reach, or a second link for continuity. PacketSky checks what is genuinely available at your address and helps you choose the most practical route.

01 Everyday business use

Business Fibre

A strong fit for offices, shops, restaurants and branches that need reliable day-to-day connectivity for cloud apps, email, POS, browsing and general business use.

02 Performance-critical sites

Dedicated Fibre

Best for businesses where uptime, upload speed, lower contention and service levels matter. Ideal for busy offices, head offices, hosted systems and cloud-heavy teams.

03 When fibre is limited

Business Wireless

A practical option where fibre is unavailable, delayed, too expensive to build, or where an independent connection path gives the business better resilience.

04 Continuity planning

Backup Connectivity

A second link for the moments that hurt: card machines down, phones offline, staff unable to work and customers waiting. Backup can be fibre, wireless or LTE.

Availability, speeds, installation timelines and service levels depend on your address, the network provider and the type of service selected.

Connectivity Built Around Reliability

From single-site offices to growing multi-branch businesses, PacketSky delivers reliable connectivity, backup options and support designed to keep your business online.

Business-Grade Reliability

Stable, high-performance connectivity options designed for businesses that rely on internet access every day.

Scalable Solutions

From single offices to multi-site operations, we can scale your connectivity as your business grows.

Backup & Failover

Add secondary or wireless connectivity options to help keep your business online when the primary link fails.

Reliable Support

Deal with a team that understands South African business networks, local providers and real uptime pressure.

BACKUP & FAILOVER

One link keeps you connected. A second link keeps you protected.

Your main connection keeps the business moving. Your backup link is there for the day something goes wrong, a fibre break, provider outage, router issue or site-specific fault.

Backup connectivity does not have to be one-size-fits-all. For some businesses, it is a second fibre link. For others, wireless or LTE makes more sense. The goal is to remove a single point of failure and keep critical systems online.

Simple rule: two is one, and one is none.

Second fibre link

Useful where another provider, route or fibre option is available. A good fit when capacity and resilience both matter.

Wireless backup

A strong option where fibre is vulnerable, delayed or where a physically separate path gives better protection.

Business LTE

Practical for backup, temporary connectivity, remote branches and sites that need a quicker deployment path.

BUSINESS QUESTIONS

Questions before you get connected?

Straight answers about coverage, service options, backup links and support before you choose the right PacketSky business solution.

What business connectivity services does PacketSky offer?

PacketSky offers business fibre, dedicated fibre, wireless connectivity, business LTE and backup connectivity options. Availability depends on your address and the networks serving your area.

How do I know which connection is right for my business?

We check what is available at your location, ask how the connection will be used, and recommend the most practical option. Some businesses need standard business fibre, while others need dedicated fibre, wireless or a backup link.

Do I always need dedicated fibre for a business?

No. Many businesses run well on business fibre. Dedicated fibre is better suited to businesses where uptime, symmetrical performance, lower contention and stronger service levels are important.

Can backup connectivity be a second fibre link?

Yes. Backup can be a second fibre link, wireless connection or LTE service, depending on what is practical at the site. A second fibre link is especially useful where another provider or route is available.

What happens if fibre is not available at my business address?

We can look at alternatives such as business wireless, microwave or LTE. In some cases these can be used as the main service, and in other cases they can be used while waiting for fibre installation.

Does PacketSky manage our internal office network or Wi-Fi?

Not as part of a standard connectivity service. PacketSky focuses on the internet connection, backup links and related connectivity support. Internal LAN, cabling and office Wi-Fi are separate requirements, but where needed we can help point you toward the right technical support.

How long does business installation take?

Timelines depend on the service type, network provider, site survey and whether any build work is required. LTE and some wireless services can often be quicker to deploy, while fibre timelines vary by area and provider.

What information do you need from us?

We usually need your business name, contact details, service address and a short idea of what the connection will be used for. GPS coordinates can also help for farms, lodges, estates and hard-to-locate sites.
